There are studios whose work we return to again and again, not out of habit, but out of genuine anticipation. Edinas Paper is one of them. Over the years, we’ve followed their paper worlds as they’ve unfolded across shop windows, exhibitions, and brand spaces worldwide — and with each new project, they continue to remind us why paper remains one of the most poetic materials in contemporary design.
This holiday season, Edinas Paper has unveiled a few new projects, of which we’ll showcase our favorites. Their latest large-scale installation, the very first holiday window displays for Printemps New York, is located at the iconic 1 Wall Street. And fittingly, the project is not only a celebration of the festive season, but also a tender, meticulously crafted dialogue between Paris and New York. Two cities forever linked by culture, fashion, and imagination.

A Parisian streetscape, cut from paper.
The windows underneath the gleaming facade of the historical Wall Street building, a true New York landmark, have been transformed into a miniature Paris – entirely built from paper. Bringing a poetic Parisian world to life, Edinas Paper invites passersby to visually wander through delicate interpretations of beloved Parisian landmarks such as Notre-Dame, the Opéra Garnier, and the Sacré-Cœur.

Every architectural detail has been thoughtfully considered: domes, balconies, rooftops, and glowing windows all come together in a layered urban scene. Each element is designed and assembled by the talented team, turning flat sheets of paper into a richly dimensional streetscape. For paper lovers like us, this is craftsmanship at its finest — where precision cutting meets storytelling and material sensitivity.

More InformationA beautiful, creative exchange between the two cities.
This project is especially meaningful in its concept. As while Edinas Papers Manhattan installation brings Paris to New York, Printemps Paris presents a holiday window that brings New York to Paris. The result is a beautiful, creative exchange, mirrored across the Atlantic and embodied in these windows. The effect is heightened by the setting itself. In the photographs and videos of the installation, reflections of New York’s skyline merge with the illuminated paper city of Paris. The glass of the window becomes a lens through which the two cities coexist — steel and stone meeting paper and light, reality blending seamlessly with imagination.
Carefully chosen papers elevate the installation beyond decoration, transforming paper into a luxurious, light-responsive material ideally suited for a holiday setting.
The installation features a carefully curated selection of papers from Europapier, chosen for their tactile, structural, and reflective qualities. Munken Pure 240 g/m² provides a soft, natural surface that supports architectural depth, while Glam Gold 250 g/m² introduces warmth and festive elegance throughout the scene. Accents of Mirror Gold 300 g/m² add luminous, reflective highlights that echo both holiday light and the surrounding cityscape.
It’s good to remember that behind all the magic lies Edinas Paper team’s extraordinary commitment to the craft. Bringing this dreamlike paper city to life required nearly 3 000 hours of focused work, including 756 hours dedicated to graphic design, 2 020 hours of meticulous hand assembly, and 181 hours spent on custom packaging and logistics to ensure the installation arrived safely and flawlessly on site. These numbers speak to patience, precision, and a deep respect for both material and process — values that resonate strongly with paper art enthusiasts and design lovers alike.
Edinas Paper’s holiday window display for Printemps New York is a reminder of what paper can become when treated not merely as a surface, but as a medium for architecture, light, and emotion. For those walking past 1 Wall Street this winter, the window offers an invitation to pause. For those of us passionate about paper design, it offers yet another reason to admire Edinas Paper’s talent to continuesly push the boundaries of paper artistry, one carefully cut detail at a time.
