Disposable trash cans by Yekaterina Shevchenko

Yekaterina Shevchenko, a young designer from Russia, designed these amazingly colorful disposable trash cans. The origami inspired form and colorful graphics demand attention, unlike the conventional trash cans. Each trash can is made of cardboard with lamination on the inside, which makes the design environmentally conscious and 100% recyclable, waterproof and easy to transport – ideal for the city life.

Every aspect of the design is well thought out, from the economically cost-saving manufacturing to the packaging and everyday usability. There are even different sizes for different needs, and it is designed to stand on its own, with an easy shutter mechanism and carry-strap.

Love this idea of having disposable trash cans! Plus, you are using earth friendly materials. Thanks for sharing this. By the way, where can I buy this?

      Hello Dana!
We really loved the striking and eco-friendly design as well. Unfortunately we are not certain if the product has gone into production yet, because the disposable trashcans were are a school project by ms. Shevchenko at the Ural State Architectural and Arts Academy.
