Nova is a band like no other. Solely consisting of employees of the Nova Trading S.A., a Torúm Poland based company that supplies sheets, coils, and other aluminum and steel products, the band was formed when a few Nova Trading employees expressed their love and desire to play music and started meeting and playing on a regular basis after work. Their first album, titled “1” documents the first stage of the band’s founding, while simultaneously being an extraordinary visual showcase of the company. 
Besides the unique story and background of the band and its first album, the choice to utilize one of our favorite papers in their physical album, Bindakote Silver, intrigued us to find out more about the project.
A unique album that represents the band, its music, and dynamics, as well as the company its members are part of
Designer Jarosław Pawlicki from the Dobrzejewice based Pneuma Studio designed the album, which was manufactured in a non-standard way, simultaneously representing the band, its music, and dynamics, as well as the company. These two sides blend together perfectly in the concept that utilizes an array of black and white images from both the band’s live concerts along with photos of steel elements the company works with it.
For several years, I have been using papers from Europapier’s Design Papers catalog in my projects, mainly for hand screen printing. After reviewing selected items from the catalog, we decided that we will use Bindakote Silver paper to implement the conceptual assumptions of the project

Offset printed in black, and Pantone 877 silver metallic on Bindakote Silver paper, the album also includes a booklet with photos and information about the band.
