“Fabrics surround us, clothe us and shape our environment. They decorate, protect, and warm us. It is the fabric that nestles the room, shapes the acoustics, and creates the atmosphere. It is the fabric that makes a place home.” This is how FiLAFiL!, a Viennese luxury textile brand providing high-quality fabrics for interiors, designers, and ateliers describes their passion and love for their craft. Combining sensuality with technology, knowledge with creativity, and the desire to “bend, break and rethink the rules” – FiLAFiL! is known for its unique ideas and quality implementations. Working exclusively with handpicked, high-quality, natural materials, which are made for life, the brand takes pride in always fulfilling the needs and dreams of the customer.

Working in close collaboration with other creative professionals at the FORMDEPOT, FiLaFiL! believes in the importance of dialogue between disciplines, and spontaneity in creativity and experimentation in the design process
Architecture, fashion, and design are great sources of inspiration for the FiLaFiL! team that often works in collaboration with local and international clients and fellow creatives at their in-house atelier at the FORMDEPOT. “Because the entire production process – from brainstorming to the finished object – takes place under one roof, there is plenty of room for creativity and spontaneity. And that’s exactly where we like to be.”, FiLaFiL! says about working at FORMDEPOT, a lively and unique place in Vienna’s 16th district, where different fields of architecture and design meet and interact under one roof. “During a tour through the FORMDEPOT, visitors experience textile design impulses to touch. Here, different interior worlds are repeatedly interpreted, combined and made tangible. In this way, the showroom becomes an area of inspiration. A place for experimentation and interaction, a playground for creative living ideas.

The new FiLaFiL! brochures are realized on Refit, Europapier’s up-cycled paper assortment made out of cotton and wool fibers – an example of a perfect match!
Following FiLaFiL!’s devotion to quality and dedication to creating un-matched experiences for their clients while honoring sustainable and ecological values in both their design, production, as well as promotional processes, it comes as no surprise the brand saw value in carefully choosing Refit, an upcycled paper, as the best possible match for their brochures.
Refit by Favini follows the Italian paper manufacturer’s long career in pioneering in up-cycled papers and boards from various waste materials. Refit uses waste products from wool and cotton textile manufacturing processes, specifically the fluffy residue from the machines, which is added to the pulp the Refit paper is made with. The visible residues of wool and cotton fibres on the surface of the paper give Refit a unique appearance. On a tactile level, the wool contained in the Refit Wool teases the fingertips with a distinctive roughness of the line, while the cotton gives a soft touch to the refit Cotton papers.
FiLaFiL! chose to utilize the richly textured Refit Wool Blue for their brochures, creating a perfect match in both aesthetics and in haptics as well. The gold foil printed cover creates a luxurious and eye-catching contrast with the fibrous paper, welcoming you to the wonderful world of luxury textiles by FiLaFiL! The Refit Cotton White paper used on the brand’s business cards beautifully follows the concept. A small sample of FiLaFiL! fabrics are attached to both the brochures and business cards to tease the interest of the client and touch on all senses that are needed to tell the story of FiLaFiL!
