Marçel Holubec W’s Minimalist Brand Prides Itself On Returning To Simplicity

Marçel Holubec W runs the Atelier MHW, also known as simply marçel, a minimalist luxury fashion brand that prides itself on returning to simplicity, by following clean lines and focusing on noble materials, neutral colors, and timeless design.

The name “marçel” has an interesting history. It was originally used in France to signify the simplest of pieces of clothing – the tank top. This simple yet practical piece of clothing can be worn in a variety of situations. As part of the marçel collection, silk accessories designed by Mikina Dimunová were also created in Italy. The collection marçel was created with a sustainable approach and with a limited number of pieces. In addition to design models, marçel provides a way to perceive art and integrate it into our daily lives. The collection shares the idea that the little things in life can bring joy and are accessible to everyone. marçel doesn’t play on trends. You can feel the spirit of France in it – beauty, elegance, and endless possibilities.

You can see Marcel Holubec W.’s dedication to the search for perfection, excellence, and uniqueness in everything he does

After graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts of Bratislava in 2007, Marcel Holubec founded his brand. Designing both men’s and women’s fashion for private clients, Marcel’s signature style is characterized by minimalistic cutting solutions, and high-quality materials such as silk and leather, which he adores to work with. His fashion collections often stick to purist shades such as white and black, with occasional color accents. Architectural vision of the garment plays a key role in the creative’s work, as well as transparency. Pleating is one of his favorite techniques, which can seen throughout his fashion design portfolio.

Understanding and seeing value in technologically demanding details, and quality materials, it comes as no surprise the brand chose to utilize lahnur® for its scarf and sock collection packaging

In their last fashion show, Marcel opted to work with lahnur® for the packaging of his scarves and socks collection. The choice was based on the unique haptic characteristic of lanur® (previously written about here), the natural whiteness, and the sustainable attributes the luxury paper offers. Despite being durable and weather resistant, lahnur® is made out of 80% renewable raw materials and can be recycled together with normal paper. It is the perfect choice for brands and brand owners who are genuinely invested in sustainability and are looking for a green product to align with the needs of their eco-conscious consumers.

Marcel Holubec also prepared unique PR packaging for the participants of his show. They were handed out with a quality paper bag made out of lahnur® 200 g/m2, which was embossed with the marçel brand name in a cohesive minimal style. The collection of scarves and socks was carefully packed in envelopes made out of lahnur® 150 g/m2.

For the invitation, Pur Coton 710 g/m2 was selected and the simple but elegant black & white design, with the embossing of the brand name, completely draws the receiver into the world of beauty, elegance, and endless possibilities. In addition to the invitation, a list of partners printed on lahnur® 150 g/m2 was included, and both were encased in a lahnur® envelope.
