Seductive Visual Identity For A Mysterious Restaurant RUMOUR By Studio Nur

Studio NUR is a successful graphic design studio based in Budapest that loves branding based on manual gestures, and often uses clean typography and hand-drawn details in their work. Developing full concepts from the scratch – Nur manages the whole process from the first sketch to the photo documentation. Always delving themselves into a project to understand the client’s personal motivation, the team works with passion and commitment and appreciates the same enthusiasm on the part of their clients. In recent years, the studio has become known and celebrated especially for their masterful restaurant visual identities.
Restaurant Rumour visual identity in deep, rich colors inspired by Shanghai

Nur based the  identity concept on shadows, darkness, plays of light, elegance, and restrained sensuality – inspired by the restaurant’s mysterious and seductive atmosphere

“The desire for indulgence is primal, and Rumour is the place where diners can give themselves over to this special pleasure.” Restaurant Rumour is the latest hospitality establishment that has requested Studio Nur to put their skills to the test and develop a unique and memorable visual identity.
Nur used techniques such as engraving, and special details like wax seals and satin ribbons to round out the dark, seductive identity.
The mood at Rumour is mysterious and seductive, so Nur based the concept of the identity on shadows, darkness, plays of light, elegance, and restrained sensuality. The main brand colors of hot red and the darkest black were inspired by founder Jenő Rácz’s time spend in Shanghai, China. The logotype was chosen for its secretive and coy feeling and applied using a sexy, hot red on black paper. Nur used techniques such as engraving, and special details like wax seals and satin ribbons to round out the dark, seductive identity.

The luxurious concept was developed by Réka Imre and the studio’s founder Eszter Laki. The luxurious and indulgent concept feels both inviting and mysterious at once. You can find more design inspiration on Studio Nur’s Instagram
