The incredible Tomski & Polanski, four-handed illustration duo from Prague, Czech Republic, has created a pack of hand-drawn playing cards featuring mystical woodland creatures and secret messages, and it took them an astonishing 8 months to finish. Dedication and talent, packed into A tiny little package.
The two creatives who together form a team Tomski and Polanski, are known for their distinctive style, impeccable illustration and drawing skills, creating everything from drawings and patterns to packaging and installations for numerous clients. Not ones to boast with an impressive resume, they let their work speak for themselves.
One of their latest projects consisted of creating a pack of hand-drawn Pernowka playing cards, inspired by the mysterious atmosphere of the woods in the Bohemian Highlands and the ancient wisdom of their native inhabitants. The limited edition of 1000 decks includes 52 playing cards, 2 jokers and a reserve card. Each tuck box is hand numbered and especially featuring a printed inside. Printed by the Hraci Karty printers who’s been in business since 1884 in the Czech Republic, each court card contains a secret message. If the beautifully illustrated cards weren’t enough, half the fun comes from finding these hidden messages.
