The Extinct Animals Collection

As you might have noticed we love notebooks and can never have enough of them – especially if they are linked to a good cause! Our friends at Absoloot Letterpress from Budapest teamed up with the renowned Jane Goodall Institute and created a collection of fabulous notebooks in order to raise awareness for endangered animals.

Ever heard of the Silky Sifaka, the Tasmanian Tiger, the Pashford Pot Beetle, the Saiga Antelope, the Pyrenean Ibex or the Nukupu’u? If not, it’s probably because all six of them are (nearly) extinct animal species. In order to raise public awareness about this serious environmental issue and to promote the conservation of endangered wildlife, Absoloot in collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute released the „Extinct AnimalsCollection, a set of premium notebooks illustrated by Levente Csordás and Gergő Gilicze.

On each notebook cover you find an illustration featuring one of the above mentioned animals and a detailed description of the species on the backside. For a premium touch the covers are hand crafted using blind debossing and silk screen printing. The notebooks come in two sizes – 210×160 and 160×120 mm – and three colors – olive, kiwi and almond. Also the paper choice is in line with the cause: The covers are printed on environmentally friendly Crush paper, on the inside is Munken paper.IMG_4520etsyIMG_4506etsy IMG_4502_etsy

And the best thing for last: When buying a notebook, 1$ is donated directly to the Jane Goodall Institute, helping them pursue their goal of protecting our environment. Is there any better Christmas gift for a paper enthusiast? We already added the notebooks to our personal Christmas wish list!tasman_bc_etsy
