20th Jazz Jantar Festival Identity by Acrobat WiseFull

Gdańsk-based creative studio Acrobat WiseFull prides itself in its ability to meet their clients’ expectations with the help of their self-titled acrobatic skills – flexible approach and unconventional ways of thinking. Fittingly calling it the balancing act of creative work. Working for numerous clients far and near, Acrobat WiseFull’s clear vision and broad skill set has earned them the trust of their clients, as well as numerous honorary mentions and awards. Their latest project, this year’s design concept for Jazz Jantar Festival is a great example of their bold and distinct approach, with its piano key inspired patterns and 20’s style typography.

With short breaks, the Jazz Jantar Festival has been on since the 1970’s. Since its reactivation in early 2000’s, the festival again joined the prestigious group of the most valued jazz events in Poland. It has a distinct program, whose main advantage is that it avoids popular music that uses the label of jazz and that it’s open to new forms that often enhance jazz with electronics, contemporary chamber music or rock.  More than twenty main concerts over three weeks of the festival, the whole spectrum of music styles and a guarantee of high quality make the Gdańsk Festival an attraction worth waiting for every year. This year the festival is celebrating its 20th edition in snazzy-style, inspired by the pattern of black and white piano keys, with some fresh mint color, creating a contemporary look fitting for a music festival. Giving an edge to a genre thought of as traditional, a more varied audience interest can be reached while showing how progressive jazz can be – something jazz lovers have known all along.
