Warsaw-based boutique creative studio STRETCHD. creates strong visual identities that last for a long time, while tapping into contemporary trends. Their latest client is an ice cream shop Yum Guy with a fun and vibrant vibe. It’s homemade, authentic ice cream, as well as donuts and shakes. The fresh and unique ingredients are made in customers old and young.
This diverse customer base is needed when designing the brand identity. With a request for something very colorful and eye-catching, something that will stand out, STRETCHD designed a bright and fun concept using three main colors: pink, teal, and aquamarine. The color palette highlights the summery, upbeat feel of the brand that reminds of hot beaches and lazy days on the sand – even in the middle of the coldest November afternoon. The main concept is built around the character Yum Guy – a friendly and saucy ice cream man, which is used in both the logo as well as a pattern. The versatile use of typography and iconography, tied together with a unique color palette, creates a strong brand experience. The short, funny punks sprinkled across the packaging and branding material creates that tongue-in-cheek feel, so fitting for an ice cream brand.
