This year the creative studio worked with the iconic Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace in Budapest, by creating a stunning festive installation that celebrates timeless elegance and architectural splendor. This breathtaking display pays homage to the art nouveau grandeur of the historic Gresham Palace, marking a special tribute to Budapest on its 150th birthday.

Renowned for their expertise in cutting-edge paper installations, Edina’s Paper, a Hungarian brand based in Budapest, has joined forces with Four Seasons Hotel Budapest for this remarkable project.

Edina Németh, the CEO and visionary behind Edina’s Paper, expresses her excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Collaborating with Four Seasons Hotel Budapest to create a festive decoration that impresses both children and adults is a true honor, especially considering the Gresham Palace has always been one of my favorite facades in the city.”

Drawing inspiration from the art nouveau interior elements of the Gresham Palace, Edina and her team meticulously crafted a festive installation that captures the essence of this historic landmark. The iron gate by the entrance, adorned with intricate details, served as a muse, with the majestic peacock emerging as the central character, connecting the installation’s concept through both shape and color.

The installation creates a captivating photo spot in front of the hotel’s renowned restaurant, KOLLÁZS – Brasserie & Bar. This spot showcases a detailed paper facade of the Gresham Palace surrounded by Budapest’s landmarks. Glass ornaments and Zsolnay tiles from the hotel’s interior are reflected in the art nouveau-style buildings added to the cityscape, creating a unique Budapest experience inspired by the location.

In partnership with the hotel’s florist, Arioso, Edina’s Paper also designed exquisite paper ornaments for the Christmas tree. These ornaments, inspired by motifs from the palace’s interior and iron gate, feature peacock colors with a touch of gold and reflective surfaces. They seamlessly harmonize with the baubles crafted by Arioso.

The intricate paper facades and ornaments stand as a testament to Edina’s and her team’s craftsmanship and dedication

Over 300 hours were devoted to the design process by the dedicated Edina’s Paper team, with an additional 1000 hours spent on the meticulous assembly of every delicate detail. Each iconic facade was skillfully translated into layers, laser-cut in Edina’s Paper studio, and then hand-assembled into three-dimensional buildings. The dedication and hard work of the team truly worked out, as the installation will bring joy and happiness to many visitors and hotel guests throughout the festive season.

Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace and Edina’s Paper extend an invitation to everyone to immerse themselves in the magic of this festive season through this extraordinary celebration of art, architecture, and creativity. The collaborative installation not only enhances the hotel’s grandeur but also transforms it into a living canvas that captivates the spirit of Budapest and its rich history.
