Playful Paper Set Designs By Adrian & Gidi

Adrian & Gidi is a creative photography and set design studio that utilizes paper and cardboard in their work with the most creative and inventive ways. Comprised of the collaborative work of Adrian Woods and Gidi van Maarseveen, a young photography duo based in Amsterdam. They first met while studying at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, where they graduated in 2010. Since 2012 they have been creating still life and product set designs in their signature playful, and colorful style. Their clients include Adobe, Elle, Cosmopolitan, KLM, Specsavers, and FOAM.

Magic of paper

Working out of their Amsterdam based studio, Adrian & Gidi builds miniature worlds and intricate sets out of paper, proving once again the versatility and magic of this wonderfully dexterous material we all love so much.

What’s especially admirable, is the way both creatives have been able to utilize their skills to create a recognizable and desirable style. Woods focuses on the lighting and photography, Van Maarseveen is in charge of the set design and together they work towards the final image.

Playfully refined

Never shying away from bold colors and contrast, Adrian & Gidi favor a playful but refined approach towards their work. They love to work with a wide range of materials and techniques, which shows from their range of work. Whether it is detailed flowers for Victor & Rolf perfume advertisement or a miniature world for a geometric board game for Range Rover.
