Czech luxury packaging company Luxusní krabičky has created a limited edition packaging for Starobrono Brewery’s three new craft beers: Indian Pale Lager, American Pale Ale, and Cherry Red. Starobrono Brewery’s (in Czech: Pivovar Starobrno) history reaches as far back as 1325 when it was founded as part of a Cistercian convent in Brno, Czechia. Surviving centuries of wars, changing laws and owners, industrialization, and modernization, the brewery has been part of the Heineken Group since 2003. The three new craft beers follow and honor the long tradition of Starobrno beers while introducing new foreign materials and aromatic hops to the market. The packaging echoes the sentiment with both visual graphics and material choices.
“The aim is to introduce consumers to other beer styles. We want to give consumers the courage to try something different and offer new taste experiences at a very affordable price”, says Pavel Geschmay, the Senior Brand Manager of the Starobrno brand.
Starobrno commissioned Luxusní krabičky to create a limited edition packaging of 800 which would introduce the new beer styles while honoring the history and craftsmanship of the product and the brewery. The packaging boxes are produced of corrugated board, with SH-Recycling 100 g/m 2 lamination, and UV digital printed covers, nicely narrating a dapper vintage feel without being stuffy. Additionally to the old-timey printing on the cover, the packaging is closed with a classy gold ribbon for an extra special touch. The inlay includes specific product information, as well as a specially produced fixation that holds the beer cans in place.

Luxusní krabičky chose to laminate the packaging with SH Recycling which is made of 100% recycled fibers.
