The event kicked off with Europapier’s presentation of the extensive collection of design papers (previously here), with special focus and detail on those qualities, colors and structures which were used in the production of the postcards. Furthermore, we talked about the importance of choosing the right paper as a holder of our most important information. The talented creatives present at the event were also introduced to the design&paper blog, where they were invited to submit their works. So keep an eye on our upcoming articles!
Yanko Djarov from inkpression ™ was the second speaker, explaining how the real branding creation works in the biggest marketing companies in the world. Yanko has a master degree in design form the Istituto Europeo di Design, in Milan, Italy. The eye-catching projects he created were realized with different techniques: screen printing, hot foil, multilevel blind embossing, risograph and letterpress, having chosen unique design papers such as Sumo, The Tube, Galaxy metallic, Color Style Smooth and Munken Pure Rough.
Yanko also presented two projects designed by Max Pirsky, who has a very rich experience in branding. Max has worked with large names, such as Google, Nike, Asics and Rimowa and recently managed to land a spot on the European Forbes Under 30 list in the Art & Style category.
The next guest speaker was none other than Ivaylo Nedkov from FourPlus. True to the studio brand name, Ivaylo focused on four points and four projects that he and his team developed on Europapier’s papers : People first, Quality is king, Honesty rules and Never settle. After seeing the projects, and his detailed explanations, it was unbelievable how much work they have done to gain the perfect match between the concept, the print method and the paper!
Petko Petkov from Marka Collective followed on the event stage. In his talk, Petko underlined that his studio works hard to gain the most detailed product ever. His beautiful project named “we make amazing stuff every freaking day” was realized on Sumo Dark Gray 1 mm, printed with letterpress and finished with hot foil stamping.
