An Elevated Brand Experience For An Educated Consumer By Kingdom & Sparrow

UK-based branding agency Kingdom & Sparrow is known for their topnotch skill in creating memorable brand experiences for clients in the food, beverage, and lifestyle field. “From progressive new ventures to household names, we create and elevate brands to increase their relevance and bring more positive choices to people’s lives”, writes the agency that consists of a multi-disciplinary team of strategists, illustrators, designers, and writers. Kingdom & Sparrow has created numerous successful and award-winning branding concepts, some of which we’ve featured before, and their latest work for 58 and Co, a brand that competes in the most respected drinks categories, showcases their skills to a tee.

The new, elevated and noble umbrella brand of 58 and Co. opens the door for the brand’s future expansion strategies into different spirits categories

Hand crafted premium artisan gin brand 58 and Co. tasked Kingdom & Sparrow to create an umbrella brand concept that did “more than just talk about Gin”. As 58 and Co. aimed to reach highly-educated, quality-driven, thoughtful consumers, the agency decided to create an experience for the entire 58 and Co. brand; from the meticulous process and attention to detail in distillation, the exacting provenance of ingredients, the sustainable and ethical B Corp certified approach, right through to the multi-sensory on-site experience at the distillery.

‘Distilling what matters’ captured the attention to detail at the heart of the elevated drinking experiences they offered, whilst also reflecting the sustainable core of the process. From the textures around the distillery to the colour of the bottle wax, we built a brand world around this brand essence.

“Working with a beautiful bespoke bottle from Allied, we took our inspiration from all of the 58 and Co. touch points. ‘Distilling what matters’ captured the attention to detail at the heart of the elevated drinking experiences they offered, whilst also reflecting the sustainable core of the process. From the textures around the distillery to the colour of the bottle wax, we built a brand world around this brand essence”, the agency writes.

As a huge fan and advocate of craftmanship, the agency placed a hand-drawn illustration of a juniper leaf in the center of the visual identity. A leaf dipped in copper, inspired by the handmade ambillic stills, with contemporary bespoke typography taking heritage cues to reflect the liquid’s premium nature, and the bespoke bottle design, togerher offer a premium experience that has a promise of quality, luxury, and character.

Since the launch of the rebranding in March of this year, the brand has been celebrated and named as one of the alcohol brands to watch as the new concept opends the door for future expansion strategies for 58 and Co. into different spirits categories.
