Delio is a new e-commerce grocery delivery service focused on high-quality goods and best customer service and delivery experience founded by Żabka, the largest chain of convenience stores in Poland. The brand commissioned a talented team at Tonik, a Polish design agency known for their high-end and quality services, including art director and brand designer Natalia Żerko, designer Jacek Janiczak, and illustrator Dawid Nerwus, who together with Delio’s team, designed a fresh, new brand identity system for the brand. The final concept includes everything from specific typography styles to photography art direction and illustration style and the brands online presence and brand experience, as well as strategy and implementation.
Delio is all about quality, and this is beautifully conveyd throught the visual identity and brand experience
To charm its natural audience, Tonik’s team understood Delio’s need to feel like a premium brand: respectfully traditional with an adventurous edge. So they created an elegant and resolute identity that bring up its true function: to be a perfectly balanced background for the products in their offer. The vibrant yet orderly photography keeps in line with the rest of the concept while adding a touch of fun and playfulness. The limited palette of soft colors, a variety of shapes, sophisticated illustrations and typography on the brand digital presence provides the sense of a first-class service. “We decided that the brand would benefit from a more warm close-to-heart feeling which we achieved by adding hand drawn pencil illustrations which could have been used on the website, as well as in print.”
The branding shines through the super app technology that — like a true concierge — operates intuitively and seamlessly. “We love it when a rough idea turns into an elegant brand and a useful digital product.” A brand that communicates in an authentic, direct style with meaning behind every word, is both approachable and trustworthy.
“Delio is all about quality. Whether it’s the delivery itself, the customer service or their brand visuals. This is why the photography style had to be on point. We decided to take a more artistic route to show the high-quality offer through the photos as well”, the team concludes.
